The Shakaar-class was a type of Bajoran patrol ship operated by Bajoran Security in an alternate universe where the Dominion won the Dominion War. They were named after the former First Minister of Bajor, Shakaar Edon.
The Shakaar was designed with assistance from the Dominion, which included access to Dominion technologies. The result was a fast and well-armed vessel that was a match for most commerce raiders.[1]
