A meteor shower' (or meteor storm) is an event when a number of meteors enter a planet's atmosphere in a short period of time.
In an alternate universe where the Dominion won the Dominion War, Korena Sisko thought that the orbs entering Bajor's atmosphere were a meteor shower.[1]
