Starfleet Academy was the institution responsible for training and educating officers for service in Starfleet. Its main facility was located in San Francisco with other facilities spread out around the United Federation of Planets.
Admittance[]
Admittance to Starfleet Academy was restricted to Federation citizens, though non-citizens could be considered if they were sponsored by a command level Starfleet officer or Federation official.[1]
The Academy had a minimum age requirement. Individuals below it could apply for early admission only if they had the consent of their parents or guardian.[2]
